Experiences of Life

The Word of Life Project is an initiative for 2012 to not only read the word of life and put it into practice,
but to share the real-life results of doing so. This collection of testimonials is meant to encourage all of
us to pick up the word of life, read it, live it and share it. Stay tuned for an experience submission form!

One afternoon, after struggling with a problem as I tried to meet a deadline, a co-worker who works in an office in a different state started an instant message chat with me at the exact moment I was thinking of him. I started to write him the questions that were on my mind. Then I remembered the Word of Life. “Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour." (Mt 25:13) I realized that maintaining the relationship with my co-worker was more important than getting my questions answered. So I erased what I had typed and instead asked how he was doing. It turned out he was sick and had contacted me to let me know he was going home. I encouraged him to get some rest and kept my questions for another time. I was glad I had been vigilant!
