Genfest 2012 begins in just over 6 weeks. There will be 15 youth from the Midwest joining another 12,000 participants from around the world in Budapest!

Some of us already leave for Europe at the start of next month!

In the midst of our excitement, we remembered that we have to prepare our hearts for Genfest not just the practicalities of traveling abroad. We got in tune with the Genfest "Step" of the month – "JULY: START AGAIN WHEN WE FAIL" - we can live it together!

Genfest is not only for those of us who can attend, but it is an experience open to all of us! We can build the Genfest every day, wherever we are by building bridges of fraternity.

Forming relationships with each person we meet by seeing them as a neighbor to love constructs another beam on the bridge. Let's transform each encounter and inspire our neighbors to do the same! Together we'll "bridge" all the way to Budapest!

Again we want to thank all those who gave their time, their prayers and their monetary support to help make Genfest happen.

During the Mariapolis we featured a Desalvo original for a silent auction. The bidding was exciting and at the end of the day, the Ernstbergers proudly carried home the masterpiece! Also during this year's Mariapolis, the OneVoice CD made its debut with great success, selling over 100 copies! All proceeds from both directly support GenFest 2012.
