Many are concerned that increasing polarization is making it difficult to reach across differences in order to imagine and work toward solutions to our society’s political, economic, and cultural challenges. On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, the Fordham University School of Law Institute on Religion, Law & Lawyer’s Work will sponsor a one-day conference entitled, The Spirituality of Unity: A Gift for Our Times. The event will mark the 50th anniversary of the Focolare Movement’s presence in the United States and will explore how the ideas and practice of the Focolare spirituality of unity might help to shed light on a path forward.
