20111206-a-200x123 Claritas is a new online academic journal, published by Purdue University Press in cooperation with the Focolare's Città Nuova publishing house in Rome. Scholars from around the world are looking forward to its first issue.  Callan Slipper, an Anglican theologian and one of the editors and designers of this project, answers some questions about it.

Chiara Anniversary 2010Events throughout the world and Maria Voce’s message for the 14 March 2010, the Second Anniversary of Chiara’s departure.


Over the next few days the person and teachings of Chiara Lubich will be remembered in many countries throughout the world. This occasion gives us the opportunity to thank God for the great gift that Chiara is for humanity and to re-focus on the living strength of the charism of unity, which has touched the lives of people of different cultures, traditions and faiths.

map-of-italy - earthquake.gifIn response to many questions, we wanted to share with everyone some news of the effects of the violent earthquake that hit central Italy and killed 200 people.

It sparked a wave of solidarity and support. In fact about 70 people were saved because of the promptness of the rescuers.

We got in touch with the local Focolare community. All the Focolare people in the area are now welcoming those who cannot go back to their homes.
