Theme for 2012: "We will all be changed by the Victory of our Lord Jesus Christ" (cf. 1 Cor 15:51-58)
The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (PCU) gives witness to the unity that Jesus asked for when he prayed “that they all may be one” (John 17:21) and focuses on all that Christians of many traditions have in common.

Chiara Lubich's message of the 25 December 1973, addressed to the members of the Focolare Movement.
«If I should have to leave this world today and you were to ask me for a single word, one last word that sums up our Ideal, I would say – certain of being perfectly understood – ‘Be a family’.

“Best wishes to all who live that the world might be a true family!
May the life of the Word be the Bethlehem Star that proclaims and invites us to encounter Jesus among us, in a Christmas that lasts forever.”

Seventeen organizations and movements make a difference at a health fair in San Diego
It’s a sunny morning in the Martin Luther King Jr. Park in San Diego, a green area that is the central recreational site in the neighborhood. The Prophecy Makes History: 20 Years of Economy of Communion
This international EoC assembly will take place on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Economy of Communion, launched by Chiara Lubich in Brazil, in May 1991. The event will be a celebration and a reflection, a chance to deepen and understand the steps necessary for future development from 2011 to 2031:to continue to believe in an economy of communion, to live it, to make it grow beyond all boundaries, to plant trees that we cultivate today and which will bear fruit tomorrow.

The beatification of Pope John Paul II is by now imminent and together with the whole Church we feel enveloped by an immense joy and profound gratitude. Joy and gratitude for the gift She is giving to us in recognizing the holiness of this great Pope, expressed in his well-spent and consumed life, up to the last moment, for God and for us human beings.
The extraordinary richness of his teachings continues to amaze, as well as his witness of love which has aroused gratitude worldwide both in Christians and faithful of other religions, and in people with no religious faith.

This greeting from Focolare president Maria Voce invites us to make a renewed commitment in our life in order to give witness.
Dearest all,
The Good News that we are still called to live today is that Jesus is risen and is alive in our midst through our mutual love.
The evangelical message of 2,000 years ago is still relevant today and draws us all into a new commitment in life and giving witness.
The wish that I would like to reach each one of our large family everywhere is to always walk with Him, the Risen One, through the streets of the world.”
Maria Voce
