Eliza wanted to know why I smiled all the time. “Because I’m happy,” I answered. “You can’t be happy all the time” she concluded. That day I went home without any further explanation, but the following day Eliza was there again. “You didn’t tell me why you are happy.” She asked again and again and I smiled. The third day Eliza came running into the office. “There must be something you’re not telling me,” she said. “But I want it, whatever it is, because I want to be like you.” So I told her that the something was God, he was my friend. God to beloved in all the people around me. Eliza said she would try it. We were two now in the U.N.
