Experiences of Life

The Word of Life Project is an initiative for 2012 to not only read the word of life and put it into practice,
but to share the real-life results of doing so.  This collection of testimonials is meant to encourage all of
us to pick up the word of life, read it, live it and share it.  Stay tuned for an experience submission form!

You'll have to repeat my class 인쇄 E-mail

The last day of class is often a special time as I get to say goodbye to students, summarize the essence of the class and their growth, and invite them to live what they have learned. It is also a time for desperate students to make one last plea for points.

This is the time that seeing Jesus in them really changes my response. If I were in their shoes, what would be important to hear from my instructor?  I let the Word of Life direct me:

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Mk. 12:31)

My tone was different, my words encouraging. I tried to 'share their hurt' genuinely.

One student who would have to repeat the class came up afterwards and gave me a hug saying, "I'll see you next fall... more prepared!"
