“If you want to see a change, you have to be that change,” one participant told a reporter at the event.

“Instead of asking myself what do I want, I’ve learned here today to ask myself, 'What does God want of me,'” said Apollo Tee, 16, after the Run4 Unity in Houston.

50 Teens for Unity, including many from the Teens for Unity Club of Houston’s Incarnate Word Academy, as well as teens who traveled from Dallas, met in Memorial Park in the heart of Houston.

“I have been asked to share who is Chiara for me," Tee continued. "She gave me, as well as to other young people, a new way of living life. She taught me to live a life of love.”

A deep concentration dominated the hall while a video aired of Chiara explaining to the young people just how to put this love of neighbor into practice in a tangible, unstinting way.

"If you want to see a change, you have to be that change,” Rachel Longoria, student at Incarnate Word Academy and Teens for Unity Club member, told the Houston’s Catholic Herald. “Today at Run4Unity I became more aware that this is a worldwide effort. It amazes me to know that so many young people, not just here, but everywhere, are actively working for peace and unity.”
