Today began with the two professors finally getting to the bottom of the mystery of Mariapolis. Stanley is convinced that it lies in the Cube of Love itself; Livingston, however, has begun to understand that the key to the Mariapolis lies not in things, but in relationships.

That theme was picked up with Paloma’s keynote for the day, “God’s Love and the World around Us,” punctuated with experiences from her own life.

Austin Taliaferro reiterated that theme with his powerful story of working with disadvantaged children in Columbus and Chris Onkinko’s experience of finding the love of God in her husband’s serious illness .

John and Julie Mundell illustrated how God’s love can be shared in concrete fashion through the Economy of Communion

In the afternoon, a panel with Fr. Peter Iorio, Mary and Alan Boedeker, and Karen Dizon showed through their experiences how a spirituality of unity transforms the people and structures of the Church.

The afternoon continued with workshops on communication, education and the Economy of Communion where it was shown how to live the art of loving in these “worlds.”

The Mariapolis reached a crescendo in this, its last evening, with the traditional Fest. The evening began with the theme “It’s a small world after all,” showing how our small world has gathered almost 500 citizens from dozens of different cities, states, and nations….and “small” in the sense that nearly half are under the age of 30. Musical and theatrical numbers highlighted the talents of the young Gen, the older Gen and the families
