On Sunday, March 4, 2012, “Dare to Love” was the title of the event that gathered nearly 300 people, mostly families, in Madera, California. Approximately, 100 of the participants were children and teenagers.
Through talks, testimonies and games all participants were offered concrete examples on how to live the Gospel in today's world. Special focus was given to what is known as the art of loving, which can be summarized in four principles: be the first to love, love Jesus in every person, love everyone, love your enemies. Personal experiences exemplified how these four points applied to day to day circumstances can improve relationships within the family, with friends, at school, and at work.
At the end of the event, some of the participants commented:
“Thank you for giving us the opportunity to know how to act in difficult situations”
“I understood that God is at my side and the only thing I need to do is to love”
“You filled my heart with joy. My daughters attended this meeting with me and they were really impacted by it. I thank God for this opportunity. I felt that I grew as a person and in my soul today. Thank you”
“I was very touched today. I discovered the Art of Loving”
“You showed me how to love like Jesus did”
“I was really impressed. You don’t have an idea how much this event has touched me. It is my very first time attending, but I know the Holy Spirit was present here “ |
