St. Mary's Church in Delaware, OH, hosts the Young for Unity, the youth of the Focolare, a movement within the Catholic Church that strives to bring peace and unity to the world.

Through sports, games, and workshops, kids will learn more about the Focolare's Gospel-based art of loving and how to build unity through good sportsmanship and teambuilding.

Since the Sports Day coincides with the beatification ceremony held in Rome, Italy, for Chiara Luce Badano, the 18-year-old youth member of the Focolare who passed away in 1990, this occasion will also provide us with a moment to remember her life as a model of sanctity.

There will be a $10 registration fee which covers lunch, snacks and souvenir items ... and parents are welcomed to join their children in the day's events! All participants must complete a permission slip/registration form which can be requested from and e-mailed to stmary@delawarestmary.org or faxed to (740) 363-9915.
