A Christmas Performance
at Mariapolis Luminosa
December 12 and 13, 2009


It’s a Wonderful Life

will be performed by the Luminosa Performing Arts Group on Saturday, Dec. 12 (7 pm) and Sunday, Dec. 13 (matinee at 2:30 pm) with a cast of local artists and musicians. Theater and music combine to rekindle the true meaning of this Special Season.

Tickets are: adults $20; seniors and students $15; parents with children under 14 $45; patrons $50. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Also, visit the display of over 150 Nativity Scenes represented by figurines from different cultures around the world. Open from December 12 to 25 (Sat. and Sun.: 10 am to noon and 2 to 4 pm; Mon. to Fri.: 2 to 4 pm; or by appointment). No fee.

Mariapolis Luminosa in Hyde Park is a center operated by the Focolare Movement since 1986. Its activities range from youth camps to cultural events, interreligious dialogue and seminars on economics, politics and education, all of them aimed at promoting universal brotherhood and an interactive peace among all. Local people as well as visitors from all over the U.S. attend them.
