Over 400 members from more than 14 Catholic Movements in the Chicago area came together at St. John Vianney Parish, Northlake, IL, for the annual meeting of New Eccleisal Movements with Cardinal George. One of the highlights was his sharing about the Holy Father's visit to the United States last May. The Cardinal gave us a personal glimpse of the person and program of those days. "I feel like I met the Pope," someone said afterwards. Following Cardinal George, representatives from three different movements, each of whom was present at the Yankee Stadium Mass, shared how the Holy Father's visit touched them. During the ice cream social that followed we had time to renew our friendships or to meet new people from the other movements. One comment about the evening sums up the atmosphere: "It was an experience of the love of the Church for the Movements and the love of the Movements for the Church".
