It’s not easy to describe the Mariapolis.  It’s something special that you have to experience to understand! Here’s what a couple who visited for the first time in 2010 have to say:

As new immigrants to the United States from the Philippines, we were longing for our families and friends we left back home. When we moved to our new home 1 ½ years ago, we met Lori, our next door neighbor. She invited us to a focolare meeting once a month in her home. A couple of months later, she invited us to the Mariapolis. So last year, we tried a day in the Mariapolis. Instantly, we felt welcomed by everyone. It felt like we had belonged to the focolare family since long before. What’s even sweeter, the focolare’s main headquarters in the Philippines is located in the place where we got married. Focolare is our family here. So this year, were definitely attending the whole Mariapolis!
